Praise God. Welcome to this teaching. As a servant of the Most High God, I have a trifold mandate. One is to pray and heal the sick, drive out demons, and preach the gospel f Jesus Christ. So if you have any of these needs, please contact us. Welcome to today's teaching. And today we talk about the hearts of men and where they are. As much as they should be in the right place, they are not. Scripture reading comes from the book of Isaiah, chapter 29 and verse 13. And it says, therefore the Lord said, in as much as these people draw near with their mouths, and honour me with their lips, but have removed their hearts far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the commandment of men. Hallelujah! The Lord bless His word.

So what is the fear of God? Fear can be taken as a negative thing. But when it comes to God, it's really a positive. Fear of God is the reverential thought of who He is, what He has done, what He is capable of. I'd have you remember that God is everything. Good, bad. Terrible. And of course, in a righteous way. The same God who has all the goodness has provided us with all his goodness, including bringing and sending Jesus for us. It's the same one who can destroy both soul and body in hell forever. So you have to have the fear of God. And today's teaching is talking about how people say they love God and they want to walk in His ways and they praise Him, if the right parameters are in place, meaning if you're comfortable. If you have food, clothing and shelter, if you have that car that you wanted, if your kids are going to the school of your choice, or if you feel you're generally happy according to your standards. But as the Word says, your hearts are far away from me. Why? Because you've been taught how to fear God by other men. That's what it says. Their fear toward me is taught by the commandment of men. How is that so?

I'll point my fingers to the prosperity gospel teachers. And you who have refused to sit down and read the Word and ask God to direct you to the right teachers of the Word. The prosperity gospel teachers tell us about how God is just there to meet our needs. That's it. And I'll tell you this. If, for example, you're in a relationship and this could be a relationship between you and your child, you and your brother, your sister, your wife, your husband or anything like that, and someone just spoke to you or cared about you because you gave them something. Would you be okay with that? Trust me, you would not. You feel used. Now some of you are in that position, but you would not be happy. And so the prosperity gospel teaches. They tell people that God is just there for them. But do you love God for God? Even when things are bad like you see Job, he was able to love God and trust in Him even while asking God the hard questions, silly questions. Yet he trusted in Him. So this is how most people are taught to fear God because He is our vending machine. Because He is our ATM. You know, He's just there to give us what we need. And that means our hearts are not with Him. It's just our lips and just for our needs. And we need to change that.

You know, Matthew 22 37 says, Jesus said to him, you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. Hallelujah! That means you love Him with every fibre of your being. And that starts when you give your life to Jesus Christ by confessing with your mouth that He is Lord and by being filled with the Holy Spirit, eventually being baptised by water. So if you've not done that, consider this- we live in perilous times. The Lord God Almighty is calling you to Himself to love Him with all your heart, mind and soul, and He'll take care of you in this life and in the one to come. God bless you.
